| 英文摘要 | Since the 1990s after World War II, the written language of Hakka has generally been based on Chinese characters. However, in addition to Chinese characters, there is another writing system: Pha̍k-fa-sṳ, (also known as Hakka Romanization). The writing plan for Taiwan's Hakka Romanization was formulated in 1922. The earliest writing in Taiwan's Romanized Hakka was the "Cantonese Communication" column published in the "Taiwan Church News" in June 1933. However, from the Japanese colonial period to the post-war period, the Hakka Romanization underwent several changes, and the standardization efforts were not completed until the post-war period. After the war, Hakka Romanization slowly spread from the church to society amid the trend of the mother tongue movement. Among them, Hakka pastors Fông Kóng-sên, Hiù San-hiùng, Phàng Tet-siû, and Chên Chhong-fat all played important roles in the standardization and promotion of Hakka Romanization in society. This paper uses "Taiwan Church News", literary magazines, works and other documents to discuss the development of Hakka Romanization. It points out that Hakka Romanization has existed in Taiwan for more than a hundred years and has significance worthy of attention in the history of Hakka written language. In addition, the evolution of the postwar Hakka Romanization was influenced by Taiwanese Romanization. Furthermore, during the development process of the mother tongue revitalization movement, the Hakka Romanization and Taiwanese Romanization communities had a relationship of mutual support and influence. |
