| 英文摘要 | This study explored the correlation between social workers’ sexual values and their selfawareness. The social workers in southern Taiwan were invited as the participants in the current research and the purposive sampling was adopted for the measurement. A total of 134 valid samples are available. This study utilized a questionnaire survey to collect data and the research instruments consisted of the Sexual Values Scale and the Sexual Self-Awareness Scale. The data collected were analyzed using the IBM SPSS Version 26.0; the descriptive statistics, Independent-Sample t test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and the like were administered for analysis. There were three major findings obtained from the present study. First, in the Sexual Values Scale, the statistical results of the ‘sexual freedom’ and ‘sexual anxiety’ tiers showed that social workers can deal with sexual anxiety positively; those of the ‘sexual cognition’ tier showed that social workers have positive sexual cognition; and those of the ‘sexual learning behavior’ tier showed that social workers generally have a positive learning intention when facing sexual learning. Second, the statistical results of the ‘Sexual Self-Awareness Scale’ showed that the majority of social workers are willing to discuss sexual issues with clients and the average score on the ‘open-sexual-value’ tier is higher than that on the ‘closed-sexual-value’ tier. Finally, there are no significant differences in ‘sexual values’ among social workers in different backgrounds such as gender, age, emotional experience, religious beliefs, and years of social work. These results can be treated as a reference for future social workers’ progressive topics and provide a foundation for future research directions. |
