| 英文摘要 | This essay provides a fresh perspective on the labor theory of value and its role in modern capitalist society. It aims to explore the social and political significance of Marx’s theory of surplus value in the context of the development of modern Western thought. The classical labor theory of value, which underpins the fundamental values in modern society, asserts that human free labor is the sole source of all value creation. Marx’s theory of surplus value challenges this classical labor theory of value from a more radical humanistic perspective. It emphasizes that human labor should not be seen as a commodity value that can be calculated based solely on the quantity of labor, but rather as the embodiment of human freedom and rational creativity. Furthermore, this paper argues that the theory of surplus value is not just a critique of political economics, but also a critique of moral metaphysics. It profoundly exposes the fundamental injustice and inequality of modern society and provides a new theoretical foundation for its fundamental values. Marx’s critique is deeply rooted in Kantian moral philosophy, particularly in Kant’s central idea that humanity is an end in itself rather than a means only. |
