| 英文摘要 | This article describes the nursing experience of a 15-year-old female adolescent with major depressive disorder, who repeatedly engaged in non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) during family conflicts, leading to her hospitalization. This situation motivated the author to intervene using reality therapy to alleviate self-injurious. From June 7 to July 21, 2021, the author established a therapeutic relationship with the patient and collected data from the patient through observations, patient and family interviews, and holistic nursing assessment tools, identifying the primary health issue to be self-mutilation. To address the issue, the author established a cooperative partnership with the patient and her family, guiding the patient to reflect on her internal needs and inappropriate coping techniques. The WDEP system of the reality therapy, which involves "W (want; what the patient wants or needs)," "D (doing; the consequences of the patient's actions)," "E (evaluation; helping the patient assess her internal needs and actions)," and "P (plan; developing a plan of action)," was utilized to change the patient's cognition, reduce her negative thoughts, alleviate her family conflicts, and help her learn self-control, thereby developing appropriate coping strategies. "This experience is expected to serve as a valuable reference for mental health providers addressing NSSI in adolescents diagnosed with depression. It is recommended that clinical nurses closely monitor the interaction patterns between patients and their families and guide the patients towards sustaining positive behaviors. |
