| 英文摘要 | An Lushan rebellion from 755 to 763 severely damaged the fate of the Tang Dynasty. There were many factors that led to the An Lushan’s rebellion, among which the more common causes were that Emperor Xuanzong of Tang favored Yang Guifei, neglected affairs of state, and the non- Han generals became powerful. According to the author’s preliminary analysis, Yang Guifei’s death in Maweipo was the result of a power struggle between his brother Yang Guozhong and Gao Lishi and Chen Xuanli. Therefore, if this study only discusses whether Yang Guifei was favored by the emperor, it is never enough to explain the cause of the An Lushan’s rebellion. However, the analysis of this coup must be conducted from the perspective of the people’s sentiments and political background at the time. The Li Tang royal family was the descendants of the Xianbei nomads and also exchanged with the Korean Peninsula and the Japanese Islands. Therefore, in the political arena of the Tang Dynasty, there was a custom of appointing foreigners as officials, such as non-Han generals and Tang envoys. This custom reached its peak during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang. The Tang Dynasty’s policy of “using non-Han officials to control non-Han people” reduced the cost of governance in the Tang Dynasty to a certain extent. Under this background, An Lushan and Shi Siming served as military envoys in the Tang Dynasty. The author suggests that there was no direct relationship between the appointment of An Lushan and the betrayal of the Tang Dynasty. However, the most critical factor was that Emperor Xuanzong of Tang appointed him as the military governor of Pinglu, Fanyang and Hedong districts to take charge of the military, politics, economy, etc. to expand his capital to betray the Tang Dynasty. Based on the above, the Battle of Anshi Rebellion broke out long-standing problems in the Tang Empire, including factional struggles in the court and the rise of non-Han generals. Therefore, this study used literature analysis method to explore the causes of An Lushan rebellion and the cause of death of Yang Guifei’s from a political perspective. Lastly, by sorting out the time when the Tang envoys were sent in and out of the Tang Dynasty, this study speculated whether Yang Guifei traveled to Japan as mentioned in the legend. |
