| 英文摘要 | The purpose of this study is to explore the usage and semantic meaning of the adjective "~ ma-shii" derived from the Japanese verb "~mu". Using the theories of lexicon theory, grammatical theory, corpus linguistics, and collocation word research, we observe the current situation of the adjective "~ma-shii " derived from the Japanese verb "~mu", and take " nozoma-shii " as an example to examine its usage and semantic meaning. The investigation results are as follows: (1) The adjective "~ma-shii " derived from the verb "~mu" has its vocabulary restrictions. (2) In terms of vocabulary classification, the semantic category of "~ ma-shii " is wider than that of "~ mu". (3) Both the conjoined modification usage and the predicative usage of "nozoma-shii" fall into the plural range. (4) In modern Japanese, the number of cooccurring nouns between the conjoined modification usage and the predicative usage of " nozoma-shii " is not much different. (5) Unlike "nozo-mu" which has a neutral valence, " nozoma-shii " has a positive valence. |
