英文摘要 | Social Prescribing (SP) is a non-pharmacological approach to enhancing the well-being of individuals by connecting them with local community resources. Typically, medical professionals identify suitable patients and refer them to link workers who assist with creating personalized integrated treatment plans and accessing appropriate community programs. In recent years, SP has garnered international attention, with many countries actively embracing it. Taiwan has been no exception, with several museums expressing interest. A case study of the National Museum of Taiwan Literature’s ʻMemory’ Museum program was conducted to delve into the objectives, principles, execution strategies, challenges, and learning experiences associated with implementation of SP in Taiwan. The primary objectives of this program were the utilization and promotion of Taiwan’s literary resources within the dementia community. The planning stage included structured session design, integration with permanent museum exhibitions, and incorporation of tangible artifacts. Execution strategies involved interdisciplinary collaborations, volunteer participation, and navigation of challenges. SP encompasses diverse facets, such as funding sources, target subjects, referral procedures, collaboration models, professional training, research methodologies, and policy development. Its comprehensive nature necessitates extensive discussion and in-depth research for systematic development in Taiwan. This study was a preliminary exploration across five key dimensions: target populations, referral procedures, collaboration models, professional training, and research types. The results provide valuable insights and first-hand information to museums and the general public in Taiwan. The hope is to stimulate more awareness and discussion in Taiwan, to ultimately foster consensus and progress toward the development of SP policies. |
