中文摘要 | 本個案以中港儲運公司為例,探討其數位創新之轉型過程。中港儲運有限公司是區域性物流中心 (Regional Distribution Center, R.D.C.),以臺中港為貨物 (櫃) 進出口的門戶,主要提供倉儲、 貨物堆棧、理貨包裝及運輸服務等。本個案重點為分析中港儲運公司面對同業的低價競爭及資 訊快速化的潮流,如何做到差異化並且拉大與同業的數位距離?而在數位轉型過程中,中港儲 運公司亦面臨資訊系統要自行開發或委外的抉擇。本個案將帶領學生瞭解物流倉儲產業的環境, 同時亦將使用交易成本理論,探討中港儲運公司在數位轉型過程中如何進行資訊系統開發之決策。 |
英文摘要 | This case study explores the digital transformation process of Chung Kang Storage Co., Ltd., a regional distribution center located in Taichung Port. The case company provides warehousing, cargo stacking, cargo handling, packaging, and transportation services. The study aims to analyze how Chung Kang Storage Co. differentiates itself from competitors and bridges the digital gap in the face of low-price competition and rapid digitization trend in the logistics and warehousing industry. The company also faces the decision of whether to develop information systems in-house or outsource during the digital transformation process. This case study introduces students to the logistics and warehousing industry and applies the Transaction Cost Theory to examine the decision-making process of information service acquisition for the digital transformation of Chung Kang Storage Co., Ltd. |
