中文摘要 | 我國新冠肺炎疫情在2021年5月開始快速於社區內傳播,突然增量的每日確診人數不僅對醫療院所及醫護人員造成極大的壓力,更是對於國內到院前緊急醫療救護系統與人員增加了工作負荷。目前的EMS人員執行防疫勤務需要長時間、高溫、穿著全套個人防護裝備,且已有人員產生不適與熱急症的情形。本文根據近年國內外文獻發表與高溫環境工作指引,彙整EMS人員應注意之熱壓力相關健康問題,並且提出建議:(1)確實監測值勤前後的生理狀況,包含心率、體溫、體重、飲水量、工時、不適或疲勞程度、(2)依據熱壓力指數適當安排人力,如縮短每班時間,增加換班次數等以降低人員熱壓力的暴露、(3)提供適當的冷卻裝備、水分與電解質補充、及適當的清潔與休息環境。 |
英文摘要 | Taiwan has entered the community transmission stage of COVID-19 since May 2021. The fast accumulation of daily confirmed cases has caused a great burden to healthcare system and frontline healthcare professionals. Taiwan EMS personnel have to wear full personal protective equipment for prolonged working hours and in warm working environment, such as ambulance or shuttle bus without air conditioning. There were few cases reported of EMS personnel suffered from heat illness under this kind of working environment. Therefore, according to current literature and international guidance, we recommend Taiwan EMS authorities to consider (1) monitoring EMS personnel for heart rate, body temperature, weight, water intake, working hour, and degree of fatigue before and after responding to COVID-19 cases; (2) reducing the heat exposure time by referencing heat stress index and modifying reasonable rotation and recovery time; (3) providing cooling equipment, water supply, decontamination and rest environment. |
