英文摘要 | Becoming a well renowned musician is the aspiration of most music students, but almost only 1% can make it come true. Others will make another choice based on their values or life situation, such as being a general music teacher which is a primary option of most people. Consequently, the purposes of the study were: (1) to understand the current situation of work values, career barriers of pre-service and non-pre-service teachers of music-related department in Taipei and New Taipei cites in Taiwan; (2) to explore the difference of work values, career barriers in different identity; (3) to examine the prediction of work values and career barriers on well-being. After quota sampling, the effective copies were 445 which were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including: Independent Sample t-test and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The results of the study were summed up as follows: (1) The pre-service and non-pre-service teachers valued "security and economy" and "social interaction" highly and both groups ranked "hesitant action" and "weak will" as the greatest career barriers. (2) The career barriers of non-pre-service teachers was significantly higher than that of pre-service teachers. (3) Work values and career barriers had a significant effect on predicting well-being for all students, pre-service and non-pre-service teachers in music-related department. Furthermore, "lack of confidence" was the one with the greatest: predictive power among all predicted variables. In addition, "self-actualization" ranked second, mostly a prediction of "psychological well-being' (4) The well-being of pre-service and non-pre-service teachers was affected by different career barriers. |
