中文摘要 | 背景:先天性心臟病童因病情危急須於兒科加護病房密切照護時,常使母親面臨龐大的壓力,加上母親因缺乏重症照護知識,更造成高度的焦慮。因此,如何提供母親相關衛教指導以降低焦慮,進而提升滿意度已成為值得關注的議題。目的:比較運用衛教手冊及個別討論方式或接受口頭衛教,對兒科加護病房心臟病童母親焦慮之影響。方法:本研究採類實驗研究設計,對某醫學中心兒科加護病房,先天性心臟病童母親共70 位收案,先收集對照組35 位實施口頭衛教,再收集實驗組35 位接受衛教手冊及個別討論方式。兩組母親於衛教前與衛教後進行貝氏焦慮量表測量。以「母親及病童基本資料表」及「貝氏焦慮量表」為測量工具,資料以SPSS18.0 for Windows 進行描述性、使用卡方檢定、配對t 檢定、獨立t 檢定及多元線性迴歸等統計分析。結果:研究結果發現兩組於前測焦慮均無差異(p >.05),於後測,實驗組焦慮程度降低效果比對照組更好,並達顯著差異(p=.000)。結論與建議:於兒科加護病房照護先天性心臟病童的母親時,以衛教手冊方式提供相關指導,能有效降低母親之焦慮程度,值得兒科加護單位推廣。 |
英文摘要 | Background:When a child with congenital cardiac disease needs close care in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) because of critical condition, the mother often suffered a lot. Lack of knowledge about critical illness results in much more anxiety. Therefore, how to provide relevant patient educations for the mothers to eliminate their anxiety and improve satisfaction has become a topic worthy of study.Purpose:To compare the effects of combining education manuals and individual discussions versus oral patient education on the maternal anxiety about their children with cardiac disease in PICU.Methods;In this quasi-experimental study, 70 mothers of children with congenital cardiac disease in PICU of a medical center were enrolled. Patient education for 35 participants in the control group was carried out orally, followed by education manual and individual discussion with 35 participants in the experimental group. In addition to “Basic information of the patient and the mother”, “Beck Anxiety Inventory” was used to measure the severity of anxiety before and after patient education. Statistical analyses were carried out with chi-square test, paired t-test and independent t-test.Results:No differences in the severity of anxiety between groups was found in pre-test, but in the post-test, significant attenuation of anxiety was found in the experimental group as compared to the control. Conclusion and Suggestion: Here we found that providing patient education manual with individual discussion is an effective way to attenuate the anxiety of the mothers caring for children with congenital cardiac disease in PICU and we highly recommend its application in the PICU. |
