中文摘要 | 為探討生育地海拔與氣候因子對立木生長的影響,本研究以樟樹為研究材料,利用樹輪影像分析方法分析清水溝、沙里仙及斗六工業區等區域的樟樹徑向生長。研究結果顯示:樟樹的徑向生長年增加量,在20年生以前介於10-20mm之間,40年以後沙里仙樣區較清水溝明顯的降低,徑向生長量約為5-10mm。樹齡為影響樟樹徑向生長最主要因子,溫度、雨量及CO2濃度對樟樹生長影響則以低海拔反應較明顯,高溫低海拔地區對樟樹樹輪徑向生長較不利,若雨量充足,可降低高溫的不利影響。CO2濃度對高海拔地區樟樹樹輪徑向生長影響比氣候因子更為顯著,但以目前大氣CO2濃度為385ppm的情況下,尚不致於成為生長的限制因子。 |
英文摘要 | This study aimed to explore the growth changes of trees in response to the changes of the site altitude, climate factors and tree ages. Camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora) has very wide ecological amplitude in Taiwan; we therefore chose it as the materials for study. Core samples of the trees at breast height position were taken from the forest locates at Qingshuigou, Shalixian and Douliu Industrial Park area. Using the techniques of tree ring analysis and regression analysis, we found that diameter growth of Camphor tree was linearly dependent on the tree age. Although the Qingshuigou samples had a little bit smaller slope of growth change than the Shalixian samples, their patterns were almost identical. The radial growth of 20-year-old Camphor trees was about 10-20 mm/year at these sample areas. Those samples over 40-year-old from Shalixian had radial growth (5-10 mm/year) smaller than samples from Qingshuigou. Age was the major intrinsic factor affecting the radial growth of trees. Temperature and rainfall showed greater influence in the area at low altitude. High temperature will introduce a bad impact on radial growth. Adequate rainfall reduced the effects of high temperature on tree transpiration. The effect of carbon dioxide concentration on the radial growth of the Camphor tree increased with the altitude. It was not a restriction factor in current level of atmosphere CO2 385 ppm. |
