| 英文摘要 | Fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18-FDG) positron emission tomography with computed tomography (PET/CT) scan has been advocated in the management of hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) because it sensitively recognizes patients with lymphoma-associated HLH. We report a 19-year-old female patient with HLH secondary to Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection whose F-18-FDG PET/CT scan demonstrated increased FDG uptake in the thymus, a site in which EBV infection may result in immune derangement in animal models. F-18-FDG PET/CT may have the potential to clarify various triggers of HLH and to assist in its management. |
