英文摘要 | Rice plants grown in Cd-contaminated soils are facing concerns of human health and food safety. To reduce the uptake of Cd by rice plants from the soil, several strategies have been adopted for management of Cd-contaminated soil. Silicon (Si) is an element that is agronomically essential for rice growth. To minimize the negative effect of Cd, application of Si fertilizers has been used as one of strategies to reduce Cd accumulation in and toxicity of rice plants. In this review, we briefly discuss the mechanisms of Si-reduced Cd levels in rice plants. |
