英文摘要 | A place name is the tag of a place agreed by common practice. A place is usually named according to its natural and humane situations. The mutual affection of these situations also enriches the place name with its own history and culture. Place naming therefore gives the place not only a physical label but also a significant cultural fortune, which usually transforms a place from its name into unique cultural meanings in literature. For example, the phrase "a carp jumps over Dragon-gate" is often read with association to its cultural and literary intention as well as the sight of Dragon-gate. Li Bai liked to use the term "Dragon" in the poems. Dragon-related places thus also occur in his poems frequently. Extending the projection of real place names, Li Bai enhanced the spirit levels of writing. Therein, we can see the people's yearning for fame and career, along with Li Bai's concerning to the social and political affairs. By this way, we find Li Bai transcended himself by writing. In this article, we use "the origin and intention of dragon-related places" to discuss the implied meaning of these places in Li Bai's poems. Following his unique and deep observation, we reveal the experiences at that time and the feelings in that world, such as "the desire of a carp in jumping Dragon-gate", "the distress of a carp when falling from Dragon-gate", "the ferocity of An-Lushan when roaring toward Dragon-gate", "the homesick of a solider moving to the fortress Yellow-dragon", "the difficult of a solider stationing at the fort Dragon-sand", "the imagination of a dragon living in Dragon-lake", "the admiration of a dragon resting at Dragon-mountain", and "the compassion delivered through five streams to Dragon-label". |
