中文摘要 | 在高度工業化及都市化的城市中,過敏性呼吸道疾病如氣喘與過敏性鼻炎的盛行率有上升趨勢。由於罹患氣喘與過敏性鼻炎的孩童在日常活動中可能會出現呼吸困難、喘鳴、鼻塞、流鼻水及鼻子搔癢等呼吸道症狀,進而影響孩童參與團體活動的機會及身心發展狀況,因此提供適當的藥物治療和衛生教育將有助於穩定及控制病情。故過敏性呼吸道疾病的治療與預防工作是一項相當重要的公共衛生課題。研究指出過敏性呼吸道疾病的發炎機制與氧化壓力有關,其中8-異構前列腺素(8-isoprostane)是氧化壓力的指標物,而半胱胺醯基白三烯素(cysteinyl leukotrienes, cys-LTs)則是呼吸道發炎反應過程中產生的重要介質之一。過去已有文獻探討過敏性呼吸道疾病患者的氧化壓力指標物8-isoprostane與發炎反應指標物cys-LTs濃度分佈變化,以及臨床藥物治療對上述二種指標物濃度的影響,因此本篇回顧文章旨在整理並說明有關人體呼氣濃縮物8-isoprostane及cys-LTs濃度變化之臨床應用性。 |
英文摘要 | The prevalence of allergic airway diseases in children, such as asthma and allergic rhinitis, is increasing in highly industrialized and urbanized cities. Symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis of children, such as dyspnea, wheezing, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and itchy nose, may reduce their participation of daily activities and metal/physical development. Appropriate medication management and education will stabilize their disease. The management and prevention of allergic airway disease is an important public health issue. Studies indicated that inflammatory mechanism of allergic airway diseases was related to oxidative stress. 8-isoprostane is the primary biomarker of oxidative stress, and cysteinyl leukotrienes (cys-LTs) is one of the important mediators in airway inflammation process. Previous studies have discussed responses of 8-isoprostane and cys-LTs in children with allergic airway diseases, and the influence of medications on these two biomarkers. The purpose of this review article was to summarize the clinical application of exhaled breath condensate of 8-isoprostane and cys-LTs concentrations. |
