英文摘要 | C-phycocyanin is a phycobiliprotein that has been recently reported to exhibit a variety of pharmacological properties. The present paper reviews the literature on recent studies uses algae and Spirulina platensis. The paper covers the latest development on the biotechnological applications of C-phycocyanin. Their application as the component of antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammation, immune enhancing, anti-tumor and wound healing effect discussed. This review describes recent findings about the potential industrial applications in diagnostics, foods, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries to showcase the immense competence of microalgal uses as apotential and promising source of novel compounds. |
