英文摘要 | Taiwan clouded leopard, Neofelis nebulosa Griffith, is Taiwan's largest cat and pure carnivore. It is generally believed that the clouded leopard is extinct, however, there are quite amount of poems regarding the theme of clouded leopard in the modern poetry. In this paper, the Han and the indigenous poets were compared. Although both have the clouded leopard as the protagonist, the two do not have the same focus in the narratives. Han poets care and consider more and add in aboriginal culture when narrating clouded leopards; while indigenous people emphasize their close relationship with the clouded leopard, for example, part of the Rukai tribe take themselves as the successors of clouded leopard. In their modern poems, they use natural aboriginal myths and legends as elements, and then they spread the spirit of the clouded leopard and promote the Aboriginal culture, and even defend their rights. This paper compares the differences of the two groups, between their writing motivation, content presentation and emotional performance. Clouded leopard may have been extinct, but through the poet's pen, it was able to reproduce the elegance of "clouded leopard", the past top predator of Taiwan's food chain, and hope that by taking clouded leopard as an example to arouse the preciousness and attention of endangered species of plants and animals |
