| 英文摘要 | Metabolic syndrome prevalence is rising worldwide and has become a growing cause of mortality by increasing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. Early life nutrition and maternal diet are shown to influence the risk of metabolic syndrome of offspring in adults. The mechanisms by which early environmental conditions have long-term effects on offspring are poorly demonstrated. Epigenetics may provide the link between the environmental exposure of early life and disease phenotype in later life. Epigenetics mechanisms including DNA methylation and histone modification may change the expression pattern of some genes as well as the developmental programming. The relationship between altered epigenetic regulation of genes in the development and induction of chronic diseases opens up the possibility of applying nutritional inventions to modify the risk of metabolic disease. |
