中文摘要 | 由於溫室效應加劇,造林減碳刻不容緩,估算造林木的CO₂吸存量實為近來重要的議題。本研究針對臺灣南部平地造林的重要樹種之一,大葉桃花心木進行研究,於萬隆農場設立樣區並於2009與2010年進行每木調查,結果顯示6年生大葉桃花心木平均胸徑為5.65 cm,7年生為7.07-8.69 cm,8年生為9.90 cm。胸徑與冠幅生長趨勢顯示林分尚未鬱閉。CO₂貯存量6年生可達16.37 Mg/ha,7年生為25.61 Mg/ha。生長參數與碳吸存量的回歸式顯示,8年生的大葉桃花心木單以胸徑之回歸式(Y=0.00378×DBH-0.01057, R2=0.936),而加入樹高後R^2達0.940 (Y=0.00344×DBH+0.0006342×H-0.02111),可供未來推估碳吸存量之參考。 |
英文摘要 | Global warming and greenhouse effect are critical issues, and forest is considered as a major carbon sequestrations in the world. Therefore, assessing CO₂sequestrations of plantations have attracted much attention currently. This study focused on the growth performance of Swietenia macrophylla, an important plantation species in southern Taiwan. We estimated the growth and CO₂sequestrations of S. macrophylla in the Wan-Long farm, Pingtung. Our results showed that the average DBH of S. macrophylla on 6-year-old, 7-year-old and 8-yearold were 5.65 cm, 7.07-8.69 cm and 9. 90 cm, respectively. The growth trends between DBH and canopy diameters suggested that the canopies of S. macrophylla keeping expansion in 2010. In the aspect of CO₂sequestrations, 6-year-old trees of S. macrophylla had the value of 16.37 Mg/ha, 7-year-old trees had the value of 25.61 Mg/ha. Our regression analysis yielded a goodfit model (Y=0.00378×DBH-0.01057, R^2=0.936) when taking account of DBH, and a betterfit model (Y=0.00344×DBH+0.0006342×H-0.02111; R^2=0.94) when DBH and height were taken into account. This model facilitates to rapidly estimate the carbon sequestrations of S. macrophylla in the Wan-Long farm. |
