英文摘要 | The purpose of this article was to discuss the underlying process of learning to read Chinese characters, which is reading Chinese characters by analogical reasoning. The article presented the examination on the structural properties of Chinese characters, followed by the discussion based on the evidence from studies of reading characters, and then elaborated the developmental process of analogical reasoning in reading Chinese. Finally, some implications for reading instruction were provided. |
