英文摘要 | Media is the most influential interpretive mechanism in modern society. It has close ties with the formation of public awareness of climate change as well as the development of climate politics. In order to realize the media’s role in climate communication, this paper tries to analyze the conditions and limitations of climate communication. Also, it discusses the media’s influence on public awareness climate change. It concludes that economic, political and institutional conditions of media management and the limitations of new production including journalists’ knowledge about and attitudes toward climate change as well as journalistic norms. Besides, the interactions between climate change news, climate science and climate policy have great effects on the formation of public awareness of climate change. |
