中文摘要 | 在中華文化,「福」、「祿」、「壽」、「囍」四字是最常使用的祝賀語、吉祥字。「福」代表著福運、福氣、福態;「祿」是上天賜予的爵位財富;「壽」表示生命久長;「囍」則是幸福、愉悅、歡樂、的象徵。這種運用吉祥、祝福意涵文字的歷史淵源深遠且類型眾多,去年(2014)春節檔期,國立歷史博物館(以下簡稱本館)以華人世界最喜愛的文字之一—「囍」字為主題,推出「有囍—囍字文化生活展」便是最佳例證。本展從「囍」字之骨架,介紹其文字緣由、婚俗禮儀、裝飾紋樣、與現代文創;讓觀眾在品味文物工藝美感之餘,也從文物用途角度瞭解先民往昔生活美學的態度,另一方面更可透過文創設計欣賞老東西結合新概念的創意設計。 |
英文摘要 | In Chinese culture, several characters, such as Fu, Lu, Shou, and Xi have been adopted to represent auspicious symbols regarding fortune, wealth, longevity, and happiness. These auspicious characters have long history of use and variety of types. In the Chinese New Year of 2014, National Museum of History presents a thematic exhibition focusing on the character Xi or double happiness. This exhibition traces the history of this character, exploring its origin, uses in wedding and other ceremonies, and evolution as a decorative pattern; the exhibition also show some of its contemporary transformation in cultural creative industry. From artifacts from the past, this exhibition attempts to explore the aesthetics of life and the infinite potentials of the tradition and its new inspirations. |
