中文摘要 | 中央氣象局「24 位元地震觀測系統」自2012 年起正式營運,該系統結合國內數個即時觀測網,以及國外的全球即時地震觀測資料,進行聯合觀測,以增加地震觀測站的密度並擴大偵測範圍。由於該系統提供了大量的即時資料,且有高品質的地動紀錄,本研究嘗試發展自動化解算震源機制, 其中包含自動P 波初動震源機制解算(Automatic First Motions, AFM)、自動中央地震矩張量震源機制解算(Automatic Centroid Moment Tensor, ACMT)與截切擬合震源機制解算(generalized Cut And Paste, gCAP)。一般而言,自動P 波初動震源機制的效率最高,通常可在發布地震報告後1 分鐘內完成解算;gCAP 則能彌補P 波初動解算時受測站分布不佳的限制,能成功解算地震網外或初動資料不足的地震震源機制;相對於前兩種方法,ACMT 針對規模大於4 的地震,能提供較可信賴與穩定的解,主要原因是ACMT 解與人工CMT 解的偏差量一般皆十分微小。目前,這3 套自動震源機制演算法,皆已應用於中央氣象局所發布的有感地震中。 |
英文摘要 | In 2012, the Central Weather Bureau started to monitor local and regional seismicity by a new seismic network, Central Weather Bureau Seismic Network - 24 bits (CWBSN24). This system integrates real time seismic networks from several domestic and international organizations. This network provides not only lots of real time data but also high quality records of ground motions. For this reason, we attempt to develop a system to automatically solve the focal mechanism in and around Taiwan area. This system is composed of three algorithms, including the automatic first motions (AFM), automatic centroid moment tensor (ACMT), and generalized Cut and Paste (gCAP). In general, algorithm of AFM can provide efficiently the solutions in about one minute after the earthquake report announced by Central Weather Bureau. Algorithm of gCAP can solve some events with insufficient coverage of seismic stations. Compared to previous two methods, algorithm of ACMT can provide more reliable and stable solutions of earthquakes with local magnitude larger than 4, because the difference of the automatic and manual CMT is generally minor. At present, these three algorithms have been applied to the real cases of felt earthquakes announced by the Central Weather Bureau in Taiwan. |
