中文摘要 | 古老的建築物往往承載許多回憶,也能追溯某些歷史發展的軌跡。位於高雄市蓬萊路三號,現為高雄港港史館的紅磚式建築,在高雄港三號碼頭作業區旁的一片倉庫群中,格外搶眼。這棟建築建成於西元1917年,至今已將近百年,不僅躲過二戰戰火無情轟炸,並保存至今,十分可貴。本文透過歷史考證,還原建築物建成的過程,以及近百年來使用單位的更迭,和不同時期的單位功能。經由研究,可以看出由於本棟建築物位居高雄港中樞地帶,在過去近百年的高雄港發展史中,一直扮演重要的角色。自1917年建成起,歷經數次使用單位移轉,由收稅官吏打狗出張所、高雄稅關、高雄海事出張所、高雄港務局到聯合檢查中心,不僅空間文化豐富,且涵蓋稅務、海事與緝私等面向,皆與近代港埠發展的海洋事務有密切關係,充分體現高雄港埠發展的歷史底蘊。這棟紅磚建築目前已不再承擔港灣事務,而是轉型做為高雄港港史館使用,展示高雄港的歷史資料。伴隨近年港史館周邊駁二特區的觀光文化產業興起,以及亞洲新灣區和輕軌捷運的開發,走過百年風華,面對蛻變的高雄港,這棟紅樓未來將扮演怎樣的角色,十分令人期待。 |
英文摘要 | Old buildings can always carry a lot of memories, and can let us trace back the history happening on the land. The red brick building located on Penglai Road, which becomes Kaohsiung Harbor Museum now, stands out the most between the warehouses next to the operating area at Kaohsiung Harbor no. 3. The building, built in 1917, almost a hundred years ago, not only survived World War II, but also is well preserved until now.This paper is going to use hitorical examination to reveal the building process of this building, and the changes of the fuctions and the agencies in the building. Through this research, we can see that since this building is located in the center of Kaohsiung Harbor, it plays a critical role in the development history of Kaohsiung Harbor. The functions of the building have changed from one to another several times since 1917. It used to be Takao Revenue Branch Office, Kaohsiung Customs, Kaohsiung Maritime Branch Office, Kaohsiung Harbor Bureau and Joint Inspection Center. This building not only represents itself as a historical space, but also means a lot in many different aspects such as taxation, maritime affairs and anti-smuggling, etc. These are all closely related to the maritime affairs development of the port in modern times, and show the depth of the history of Kaohsiung Harbor development as well.This red brick building is no longer used for harbor business; instead, it becomes Kaohsiung Harbor Museum to exhibit the history of Kaohsiung Harbor. The boost of tourism and cultural industry at Pier-2 Art Center around the museum, as well as the development of Asia New Bay Area and Kaohsiung Circular Line (KMRT) gives the hundred-year-old Koahsiung Harbor a brand-new life. This makes it even more interesting and exciting as to what the role of this red brick building will play in the future. |
