英文摘要 | Background: The radioactive iodine uptake test (RAIU test) is often used in the clinical diagnosis of thyroid problems, which is usually measured by gamma probe. The purpose of this study is to see if there is any statistic difference between the RAIU measured by gamma probe and gamma camera.Methods: Forty-four subjects are recruited in this study, whose 24-hour I-131 uptake ratio are measured by both (1) gamma probe and (2) gamma camera using different ROI selection.Results: All data is analyzed by regression model and t-test. There is good correlation between RAIU in the two different methods of measuring, and the optimal ROI for gamma camera is 10,000 mm^2.Conclusion: The RAIU measured by these two different methods is nearly identical, suggesting gamma camera is a good substitute for gamma probe. |
