| 中文摘要 | 物聯網是近年來最受矚目的科技趨勢之一。隨著通訊技術的發展,日常生活物件可與網際網路連接,並且內嵌感測器及制動器。使用者可透過感測器得知物件的狀態或是物件周遭的環境變數,亦可透過網際網路控制制動器。這兩項物聯網的主要功能,感測功能及制動功能,讓開發者得以創造新的應用或是改進現有的應用。然而隨著越來越多資源投入物聯網,大量的物聯網物件製造商各自開發他們專有的通訊協定。若需要連接不同的物聯網產品,使用者需要花費大量的成本開發不同的連接器以串聯不同的通訊協定。因此,為了實現物聯網的願景,我們需要一個統一的開放式標準連接物聯網物件。目前在OGC社群內針對物聯網開發了一個稱作SensorThings API的開放式標準。本文將簡介SensorThings API制定的物聯網資料模型以及網路服務介面。此外,基於本文作者於物聯網實作及標準開發的經驗,此篇文章亦簡單介紹了物聯網的概念、發展歷史、常被提及的潛在應用、以及未來仍須解決的問題。 |
| 英文摘要 | The Internet of Things (IoT) has become one of the most popular technologies in recent years. With the advance of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), objects are embedded with sensors and actuators and are able to connect to the Internet. In the IoT concept, users can use the embedded sensors to monitor the states of objects or different physical properties of objects’ surrounding environment. Through the Internet, users can also control the actuators embedded in IoT objects. With these sensing and tasking capabilities provided by the IoT objects, the IoT enabled developers to create or improve various applications. However, due to the large number of sensor, actuator, and IoT object manufacturers, communicating with different IoT objects requires the support of various proprietary protocols. In order to harness the full potential of IoT, an interoperable and unified communication protocol is necessary to connect IoT objects. This article briefly introduce an open standard solution called OGC SensorThings API. The SensorThings API defines a RESTful-like web service interface and a comprehensive IoT data model. In addition, based on the author’s multi-year experience developing and defining IoT applications and standards, this article also introduces the IoT concept, history, applications, and remaining issues. |
