| 英文摘要 | The extraction technique, involving the act or process of getting something by pulling or forcing it out of its original matrix, is under review since it is widely used in chemical separation among scientific community. Basically, extraction and chromatography are partition oriented, and also are highly similar for having two immiscible phases. The only difference between them, however, is in the degree of partition between two phases. In other words, an extraction tends to maximize the partition for the desired component by keeping the others remained in the original phase. However, there would be no partition during the elution from the chromatographic point of view, and thus no resolution be observed in this particular case. On the contrary, a successful resolution is obtained by maximizing the difference in partition for components. In this review article, we introduce two most widely employed extractions using liquid and solid adsorbents as the extractants, respectively. The involving theory, operational protocol, apparatus for commercial and bench scale are described, and relevant applications documented in the past years will be provided for the reference as well. |
