| 英文摘要 | This paper aims to analysis H.M. Lin's choreographic work Rice (2013), based on the visual culture theory of M. Sturken and L. Cartwright. There are three perspectives included in their discourse that are image power, viewers make meaning, and the global flow of visual culture. Through this study, one can see the aesthetical structure of Rice from the visual culture point of views. This research first found a virtual image figurative visual effects actually help the audience see the abstract art of dance. Second, the specific video screen across the country barriers creates a visual symbol of globalization, bridging the choreographer and the viewer by the arts of communication. |
