英文摘要 | Chang Shen-chieh (1904-1965), a famous Taiwanese writer and playwright, was also a former revolutionary youth of the Chinese National Revolution (1924-1927). However, Chang could not speak his mind about the ”Mainland” experience, and went silent during the Chinese Nationalist Party (Kuomintang)'s White Terror period in Taiwan. Therefore, it is hard to tell a detailed story about Chang and other Taiwanese intellectuals' comments on Chinese politics in the 1920s. This article through the eyes of Chang, examines how the Chinese revolutionary events affected a Taiwanese personally, and describes how Chang accepted the effects of identity politics, political struggle and social experience. It is a story full of hope and disillusionment. |
