英文摘要 | There are some similarities in Kenji Miyazawa’s work, "Kaze no Matasaburo" (the story between a transfer student, Takada Saburo and the children of a mountain village in Tōhoku), and his fore work, "Kazeno Matasaburo" (the story of Kazeno Matasaburo, the god of wind, and the children of a mountain village in Tōhoku). Kenji has described Kazeno Matasaburo as ’a friend unexpectedly transferred from Tokyo to the school in the countryside’ in "Kazeno Matasaburo". However, why did he set up the main character in "Kaze no Matasaburo" as a transfer student from Hokkaido instead of from Tokyo? Based on this question, the writer focuses on Hokkaido and reread the "Kaze no Matasaburo" in the thesis. In addition, by the comparing of the contemporary discourses on the relationship of Hokkaido and Tōhoku region, and "The Biography of Gusukobudori" with the association of Hokkaido, the writer also think about the characteristic of "Kaze no Matasaburo". |
