中文摘要 | 近年來,智慧電網 (Smart Grid)被視為解決能源危機的重要技術之一,其中先進讀表基礎建設 (Advanced Metering Infrastructure;AMI)為最主要的組成元件之一。AMI為智慧電表 (Smart Meter)、資料集中器(Data Concentrator) 與頭端伺服器 (Head-end Server)之間的通訊基礎建設。我們提出一套 AMI遠端韌體更新系統,不僅可以延長智慧電表的使用年限,也可以有效率地更新韌體來修補安全漏洞。此系統使用 Broadcast/Multicast與AL-FEC (Application Layer-Forward Error Correction) 技術來提升更新效率,同時搭配韌體來源驗證與啟動碼技術確保安全性。相較於目前的 AMI韌體更新系統,實驗結果顯示本論文提出的系統可以提升約 7倍的更新效率。 |
英文摘要 | Smart grid is one of the most important technologies to solve the energy crisis, and one of the principle components of the smart grid is Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). AMI plays a key role of communication among smart meter, data concentrator, and head-end server. We propose a remote firmware upgrade system for the AMI, to not only increase the life cycle of deployed smart meters, but also to have capability of updating new firmware efficiently when security vulnerabilities have been explored. The proposed system adopts broadcast/multicast and AL-FEC (Application Layer-Forward Error Correction) technologies to enhance upgrade performance, and include source verification and activation code for guaranteeing system security. Compared to the current firmware upgrade system in AMI, the results show that the proposed system has 7 times performance improvement. |
