中文摘要 | 於車載隨意網路(Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks, VANETs)下提供多媒體串流服務則為眾多應用中相當具有吸引力的特色之一,如緊急影像傳輸、路側影像廣播通知及車間影像對話。本論文,我們於車內單元平台上設計並實作IEEE 1609/802 11p群組車隊通訊系統。群組車隊通訊系統可追蹤得知群組車輛成員當前的行車位置與傳遞訊息給整個群組車隊,並增進駕駛與乘客的行車經驗。我們並對所開發的群組車隊系統進行了實地現場試驗與測試,以評估其效能表現。初期實驗針對小規模軍隊,真實的分析實際行車情境之效能。其測試結果對於後續進行與設計大規模車隊應用給予一個很好的準則,並對未來車載資通訊技術之研究,提供了基本學習之基礎。 |
英文摘要 | Video streaming over VANET (Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks) is also an attractive feature to many applications, such as emergency video transmission, road -side video advertisement broadcasting and inter-vehicle video conversation. In this paper, we design and implement a Vehicle Group Communication System (VGCS) over real-life IEEE 1609/802.11p On-Board Units (OBUs). VGCS can track the group members' current locations and broadcast audio/video over a vehicle group, enhancing drivers' and riders' experiences when they cruise together. The performance of the developed VGCS was evaluated in field trials. Our initial experiment results profile the performance of VGCS in a small-scale real-life network and suggest some heuristics for designing a large-scale vehicular application. Our experiment data presented in this paper can provide basic understanding for future advanced studies in this area. |
