中文摘要 | 適地性服務(location-based service, LBS)是指一種在行動網路中,運用地理位置資訊存取遠端資料庫的應用,隨著行動網路與智慧型行動載具的普及,現今已成為主流應用之一。傳統上,適地性服務採取中央集權式的運作模式,因此所發展出的行動應用往往需負擔高額的資源管理與網路使用成本。本篇論文提出採用新興的裝置間(device-to-device, D2D)通訊技術整合於適地性服務的運作模式,利用裝置間通訊技術的快速裝置連線特點,以提供適地性服務能夠具備高速資料傳輸能力,並有效減少管理成本,進而促進行動應用的多樣性。根據所提的運作模式,本文以智慧叫號/離號系統為例開發行動應用,並在實際環境中操作、測試此應用的有效性。 |
英文摘要 | Location-based services (LBS) are a general class of computer applications, which utilizes information on the geographical position of the device to access the remote database through the mobile network. As the mobile network and intelligent mobile vehicle are getting popular, LBS becomes one of the major applications nowadays. Typically, LBS operates in a centralized manner such that the LBS-based mobile applications need to face several challenges, such as the overhead of resource management and the high network usage cost. In this paper, the emerging device-to-device (D2D) communication technique is integrated to the LBS infrastructure, and the corresponding operating modes are proposed accordingly for LBS to support a high data transmission rate, the reduced management overhead, and the diversity of mobile applications. Based on the proposed operating modes, a mobile application-namely the intelligent quene management system-is implemented and its effectiveness is then evaluated on a realistic environment. |
