中文摘要 | 博物館的重要任務之一,是將研究、典藏、重要的教育議題等資訊透過展覽活動傳遞給觀眾,近幾年來,親子觀眾及學校團體逐漸成為博物館重要的參觀族群,尤其是兒童觀眾,博物館提供了不同面向、多樣化的展覽,讓他們有更多接觸歷史文化、生態環境保護及人文藝術等議題的學習場域,而透過標本展件、互動展示及多媒體影音等展示媒介的輔助,強化了兒童觀眾的學習效益,延伸博物館社會教育的成效,這也是近年來博物館兒童展示教育議題受到廣泛關注的重要原因之一。本文以兒童觀眾學習行為、博物館互動式展示的文獻探討為基礎,調查國立臺灣博物館94年起策劃以兒童為目標觀眾的特展及筆者參訪費氏博物館(美國.芝加哥)等展示案例,分析博物館策劃兒童探索展的考量重點、展示訊息的傳遞方式及展示策略等,探討自然史博物館規劃兒童探索展時,如何兼顧兒童觀眾的學習及參觀行為,以傳遞知識並強化其學習效益。本文初步獲得下述展示規劃上的啟發:(1)展示設計須做分齡考量,透過多樣化的展示媒介,吸引不同年齡的兒童觀眾共同參與;(2)小單元展區、互動式教育桌、教育角落的配置,有助於親子交流及學校團體分組學習、互動的需求;(3)結合多元的展示手法,輔以角色扮演、問答法或闖關遊戲等策略,透過空間場景及氛圍塑造、互動裝置及學習單設計等,使其在探索、體驗、操作的過程中學習並找尋答案。期望藉此研究資料的累積,提供給博物館規劃兒童探索展及展示設計者之參考。 |
英文摘要 | One of the core missions of a museum is to render information about its researches, collections, important educational concepts and knowledge to the general public through exhibitions and related activities. In recent years, school groups and families have become major targeted visitors. Children in particular find museums a fascinating venue for exploring issues concerning history, culture, science, ecology, environment, and art. Specimen displays, interactive exhibits, and multimedia aids further not only enhance the learning outcomes for children, but also extends the social education of museums. That is why the issue of children education through museum exhibition has received increasing attention in recent years. Incorporating a literature review on the learning behaviors of children and interactive museum exhibitions and case studies on the NTM (National Taiwan Museum) special exhibits of targeting at children since 2005 and the author's observations of the Field Museum's children exhibition, the study aims at analyzing the key factors in planning exploratory exhibits. In addition, this article also indicates that how to consider children's learning and visiting behaviors and enhance the learning effectiveness when natural history museums plan exhibitions for children. Major preliminary insights reached by the study are summarized as follows as reference for natural history museums in planning and designing exploratory exhibitions for children: 1. An exploratory exhibition should be capable of triggering participation from children of different age groups through diverse applications; 2. small, themed exhibition areas, interactive education tables, educational corners, and other props can be expected to facilitate parent-child interactions and meet the demands for active learning and exchange from school groups, and 3. Multimedia exhibits should be integrated with role-playing, Q&A sessions, treasure-hunting games, interactive devices, educational leaflets, and other incentive strategies to create a space and an atmosphere encouraging children to search for answers during the process of hands-on exploration, experience, and operation. |
