中文摘要 | 流動點下降劑(Pour Point Depressant,PPD)可用於改善油品之低溫流動性能,本文介紹了流動點下降劑應用於機油中的作用機制以及數種量測低溫性能的測試方法,包括流動點(Pour Point)量測、低溫驅動模擬裝置(Cold CrankingSimulator,CCS)、微型旋轉黏度計(Mini-Rotary Viscometer,MRV)、引擎試驗Sequence IIIGA等。流動點下降劑是藉由自身含有的蠟質側鏈分子與機油中其他成分的蠟質基團交互作用產生共結晶,以流動點下降劑的高分子結構阻礙低溫時膠狀結晶網路結構的形成以維持機油的低溫流動性。機油配方中其他可能含有蠟質基團的成分如基礎油、清淨添加劑、黏度指數增進劑等皆有機會影響機油的低溫性能表現,因此維持良好的機油低溫流動性須仰賴流動點下降劑的蠟質側鏈與機油中其他含蠟質成分均衡的交互作用。 |
英文摘要 | The pour point depressant (PPD) can be used to improve the low temperature fluidity of oil. In this paper, the mechanism of pour point depressant in engine oil and several test methods for low temperature performance such as pour point measurement, cold cranking simulator (CCS), mini-rotary viscometer (MRV) and engine test sequence IIIGA are introduced. Through co-crystallization of waxy side chains on PPD molecules and waxy functional groups in other engine oil components, the formation of gel-like crystalline network was hindered by PPD polymer architecture, and then low temperature fluidity of engine oil could be maintained. The other components such as base oil, detergent inhibitor and viscosity index improver may also contain waxy groups and deteriorate the low temperature performance of engine oil. As a result, to keep excellent low temperature performance of engine oil relies on the balanced interaction between waxy side chains on PPD additives and other waxy molecules in the fluid. |
