英文摘要 | In this article, we proposed a novel design of LED streetlight with surface-structured diffuser (SSD) and secondary optical elements. By using the proposed design, light can be effectively concentrated, limited, and uniform illuminated at a target region which we need to reduce the appearance of energy loss problem. Based on the design concept, a lighting module for streetlight is presented and used into three common types of street pole arrangements for the performance analyses of lighting module. According to the simulation results, we can obtain that the optical efficiency of lighting module is higher than 87%, the optical utilization factor is from 58% to 81%, and the illuminance uniformity is higher than the request of IESNA regulation. By using this new module, just 2% of the lamp’s total energy is directed horizontally or upward into the sky, it is good for the reduction of light pollution. Besides, compared with general LED street lamps, the power consumption of the proposed design can be saved with an additional 10% to 50%. An obvious energy-saving effect can be obtained. |
