英文摘要 | Jinguashi (where the Gold Museum is situated) and Shuinandong are called the Jinshui area. This is an area where mining was a major industry. Even though mining activities stopped, the mining remains become a unique cultural landscape. Since the Gold Museum was established in 2004, it has dedicated itself to research and study of the cultural heritage resulting from past mining activities in the Jinshui area. The museum has promoted the preservation of this heritage and community participation through relevant programs. This essay tries to probe into the status quo of the preservation and management of the cultural heritage in the Jinshui area from three aspects—i.e. what to preserve, how to preserve, and who preserve it, with reference to experiences of the Gold Museum and the Iwami Ginzan—a World Heritage Site in Japan, and integrated approaches emphasized in "regional integration for cultural heritage" and "World Heritage Sites". Before integrated preservation and management is on track, the Gold Museum can still undergo its preservation work through research and study, encouragement of community participation, and promotion of international exchange. |
