英文摘要 | In this study, we established a new cell line derived from a marine ornamental fish, Apolemichthys trimaculatus, which is considered a species of high economic value. The new cell line, designated as TSAF, was established using the fin tissue of a marine angelfish. The cell line was grown and subcultured in Leibovitz L15 with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS) and incubated at 28℃. The TSAF, a fibroblastic morphological cell line, was subcultured more than 100 times after its primary culture. The optimal growth temperature for TSAF ranged from 28℃ to 322℃, and its modal chromosomal number was measured at 38. The cells were susceptible to eel herpesvirus from Formosa (EHVF), eel virus European (EVE), infectious pancreatic necrosis virus serotype AB, SP, VR299 (IPNV), and hard clam reovirus (HCRV). This wide-range viral susceptibility suggests that TSAF should be valuable for studying fish viruses, especially those of ornamental fish. |
