| 中文摘要 | 液晶透鏡具備體積小與可調式焦距等基本特徵。然而,液晶透鏡通常是與偏振光相關之光電元件,所以,倘若沒有特別的設計與製作,與偏振光相關之依存性將可能限制液晶透鏡之應用。因此,在本研究中,我們以滴流配向的方法產稱徑向對稱性之液晶分子排列,並用以製作可調式液晶透鏡,從實驗結果顯示此液晶透鏡具有準線性偏振無關之光電特性。此液晶透鏡規格是直徑7 mm孔洞型電極液晶盒,其最短焦距是27.5 cm當操作電壓是80 Vrms。 |
| 英文摘要 | The liquid crystal (LC) lenses possess some unique characteristics including small volumes, tunable focal lengths, and so on. However, LC lenses are usually polarization-dependent electro-optical devices. If there is no optimal design and fabrication, polarization-dependent LC lenses will not be popularly used as well as conventional glass lenses. In this study, we use dropping-flow alignment to realize quasi-linearly polarization-independent LC lenses with radial symmetrical LCs distribution. This LC lens with an aperture of 7 mm diameter possesses a minimum focal length of 27.5 cm at 80 Vrms. |
