中文摘要 | 本文以七等生〈我愛黑眼珠〉為文本,在現有研究觀點作一詮釋架構的轉向,把〈我愛黑眼珠〉視為是臺灣現代性經驗的救贖文本,探究當西方現代性浪潮席捲而來時,七等生如何透過創作回應現代性帶來的精神危機。〈我愛黑眼珠〉中,李龍第回應現代性帶來的精神危機的方式,就是以「局外人」的清醒意識,「凝視」並「卑視」死亡籠罩的世界,同時以一種「生命通過死亡獲得救贖」的信心將自我信念付諸行動,透過拯救妓女進入生存的永恆。七等生藉李龍第的「抉擇」所要傳達的是一種「自身-目的化」的現代性態度:人是靠著自己才能得救。從「越界」觀點看,李龍第選擇拯救妓女,正是對社會階級與倫理道德強加在個人身上的「界限」的想像與抗拒,而這種「在界限上」的「越界」,目的是成為一個「我從來沒有成為的人」。本文認為七等生的書寫,已從存在主義式的自我抉擇,轉化為一種生存美學的自我風格化,其「自身-目的化」所展現的現代性態度,是七等生小說獨特風格所在,也是定位他之為六○年代臺灣「現代主義」作家的基礎價值。 |
英文摘要 | This study treats Chi Teng Sheng's "I Love Black Eyes" as the text, changes interpretation framework in current studies and regards "I Love Black Eyes" as the redeeming text of modernity experience in Taiwan in order to find how Chi Teng Sheng responded to modernity and the spiritual crisis through creation when encountering the trend of western modernity.In "I Love Black Eyes", Li Lung-ti responded to spiritual crisis of modernity wave upon the metaphor of flood by "outsider's" sober consciousness to "contemplate" and "despise" the world of death and transformed self-belief into action through the confidence of "being redeemed by death" and approached eternity of life by saving the prostitutes. Through "selection" of Li Lung-ti, Chi Teng Sheng intended to demonstrate the writing/living attitude of "self-intention". People are redeemed by themselves. Treating "selection" of Li Lung-ti by "stepping beyond the boundaries" is the imagination and resistance of Chi Teng Sheng toward the "boundaries" such as social statuses and morality in modern society. As to the freedom of Chi Teng Sheng, it has to demonstrate and resist the restriction of "boundaries" for individuals by continuous "stepping beyond the boundaries". However, the "stepping beyond the boundaries" is based on the "boundaries" and the purpose is to be "someone I have never been". This study suggests that the writing of Chi Teng Sheng has transformed from self-selection of Existentialism into personal style of Aesthetics of Existence. Modernity attitude in "self-intention" writing is the unique style in the novel of Chi Teng Sheng. It demonstrates the historical significance and value of Chi Teng Sheng as "Modernism" author in Taiwan in 1960s. |
