中文摘要 | 隨著網路的普及以及科技的進步,使得各種資訊平台紛紛出現,人們在網路上依個人需求找尋適合的 資訊平台。然而身處非英語系國家的我們,卻由於現今的最新資訊文章或技術手冊大多是以英文撰寫,而 這些文章手冊中大多以許多專業性字詞所構成,對於讀者來說常有閱讀上的困擾。而一般市售的電子翻譯 字典、英文字典往往沒有包含這些專業性的字詞,雖然現今有許多不同類型的資訊平台,但卻很少有學習 平台是針對專業類英文字詞方面做為主要內容。 在英文字詞中有許多在一般常用英文和專業科目英文雖然是同樣的字,卻有截然不同的意義,例 如:“Apache”: 一般英文的翻譯是阿帕契語,但在資訊英文中卻是一種伺服器技術,因此,同樣的字在不同 領域的文章出現,就有可能是代表不同的意義,當讀者閱讀這些專業性文章時,讀者通常要搜尋許多相關 文章或是去找到專業性的字典才能找到或是猜到該單字的真正意義,這往往會花費讀者許多時間精力。本 研究主要是建置一個科技英文數位學習平台,藉由平台所提供的各種功能讓學習者可以快速增加專業性字 彙。 本學習平台收集了大量的科技類字詞,學習者可以快速搜尋專業性的英文字詞,利用平台上的功能也 可以使學習者在短時間內提昇閱讀能力而增進科技英文能力。此外,利用本研究所建置之科技英文學習平 台,完整收集學習者的學習歷程,藉由各項使用記錄以及課堂上的紙筆測驗加以交叉分析比對,以找出平 台對於學生學習之成效,分析這些資料後進行探討,找出學生在使用本學習平台後對於學習上是否有正面 的效果,以及平台是否有達到提升教學成效。 |
英文摘要 | The popularity of the Internet and the advances of the technology make all kinds of information platforms emerging, and people try to find suitable platforms according to individual needs. However, latest news articles or technical manuals are mostly written in English and most contents of them are presented by many professional words. It causes reading troubles for non-native English speakers. Besides, general electronic dictionaries or English dictionaries seldom include these technical terms. Although there are many different types of information platforms, very few of them provide technical terms of English as the main contents. As is often the case, the same words in general or professional English have different meanings. We take “Apache” for example, it’s a language in general English explanation, but in informational English it means a kind of server technology. Obviously, the same words when used in different domains may be different meanings.When reading those professional articles, readers usually need to understand these words by searching many related articles or professional dictionaries, and it takes a lot of time and efforts. The study builds a technology platform for English e-learning, and its various functions make learners rapidly increasing professional vocabulary ability. It can be used to search both technical terms and ordinary words so that it can enable learners to improve English reading ability in a short time. The paper also aims to analyze the learning effectiveness for learners by the e-portfolio after using this learning platform. |
