中文摘要 | 一般種苗業者或栽培者,對於苦瓜等硬殼種子之處理,仍以傳統刻傷處理再催芽,以克服種皮之機械障礙提高發芽率。本試驗利用超音波處理以改變苦瓜種皮構造提高發芽率,結果顯示:在適溫(30℃)條件下刻傷再浸種並無法提高苦瓜種子之發芽率,供試兩品種均較對照組低;而單純刻傷處理可提高發芽率9%。經超音波處理之種子發芽率均較對照組及刻傷處理者高,其中‘月華’種子發芽率增加30%;‘高月’二種子則增加20%。由試驗得知此技術可取代業界使用的刻傷處理,省去機械處理之繁複程序,且經回乾儲藏仍可維持超音波處理效果及種子活力,有利於種子業者貯運與販售,大為提高其實用性及商品化價值。 |
英文摘要 | Commercial seedsman and growers used traditional lateral splitting method to accelerate seed germination at 30℃ for 60 hours of hard coat seeds like bitter gourd (Momordica charantia L.). However, it took more manpower and time to single seed operation. This research used ultrasonic treatment to change hydration process of seed coat and increase germination percentage. The results showed that seed germination percentage of lateral splitting combined with water soaking treatment were lower than the control under the optimal temperature (30℃) in two cultivars, but lateral splitting treatment could increase the germination percentage of 9%. The ultrasonic treatment was efficient in improving 30% germination percentage of 'Moon Shine' and 20% of 'Kao Yueh', and it was higher than control and lateral splitting significantly. This technology could replace the effect of lateral splitting, saved the complicated procedures. It is conductive to storage and sale of seed industry, and increase the practicality and commercial value after redried. |
