中文摘要 | 本篇目的是要探討老人之心理變化與情緒調適,要瞭解老年期之心理動力與情緒問題以及進一步的促進與維護老人的心理健康與生活幸福,預防與治療老人的心理失常與精神疾病。第一部分將介紹老人的定義與概念;第二部分說明老人情緒的定義與概念;第三部分比較東西方文化對於情緒的詮釋;第四部分描述老人面臨的各種身心問題與個人照顧;第五部分探討老年晚期所要面對的情緒困擾與問題;第六部分討論老人常見的心理障礙與精神疾病;第七部分指出老人心理健康調適與社會適應;第八部分提供老人照顧者如何因應老人心理變化之途徑;第九部分在於瞭解老人的基本需求以及如何促進老人情緒的健康。老人之情緒與心理保健、心理衛生與社會適應,需要家庭親友之合作,更需要醫護、社工、心理、教育、老人保健與休閒治療等專業人員之輔導,提供各種醫療衛生專業服務之配合,以及老人福利服務與志願工作人員之大力支持,才能產生老人身心健康、情緒穩定與生活幸福之最大效果。 |
英文摘要 | The purpose of this paper is to discuss the emotional issues and mental health of the elderly in order to alert the care-givers of elderly regardless of medical, nursing, social work, physical and recreational therapy professionals, volunteers, as well as family members to gain certain insights and knowledge for their clinical practice and services. The first part of this paper presents the concept of elderly, and defines who is elderly. The second part presents the definition and concepts of emotion. The third part compares the interpretations of emotion between the eastern and western cultures. The impact of emotional changes upon the health of elderly was discussed. The fourth part describes the various emotional issues and psychological characteristics faced by the elderly. The fifth part analyzes the emotional problems of elderly and their psychological changes. The sixth part discusses the prevalent mental disorders of elderly including grief, mourning, guilt complex, self-blame, loneliness, dementia, depression, anxiety, impotence, helplessness, rage, and fear. The seventh part discusses the mental health and psychological adjustment of the elderly. The eighth part presents how to cope with the psychological problems faced by the elderly. The ninth part presents the basic needs of elderly; family, health, economic, social, educational, and work needs. The conclusion emphasizes the cooperation of medical, nursing, social work, psychological, elderly care, educational professionals and recreational therapy to provide the integrated and comprehensive care for the elderly based upon the true understanding of physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of the elderly. |
