英文摘要 | In order to encourage use of the MRT system, TRTC provides parking areas for passengers at some MRT stations. On the principle of "user-pays" and from a standpoint of management efficiency, some of these car and motorcycle parking lots are charged. In the early period of Taipei Metro's operation between 1996 and 1997 (opening of the Mucha Line and the Danshui Line), TRTC contracted out the operation of these parking lots because it did not have experience operating such a business and because out-sourcing would save cost. Many of the contractors failed to provide a sufficiently good service and as their contracts came to term, TRTC took back the operation of these parking lots. This created a milestone in TRTC's subsidiary business development. From this time on, TRTC has continued to adjust the management model of the parking lots periodically to enhance service quality and increase revenue from this subsidiary business. |
