英文摘要 | In this paper, a novel systematic and efficient approach, using the fuzzy-based Taguchi method with multiple performance characteristics index (MPCI), is employed for obtaining the robust design of a surface-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG) for wind power with both larger electric power output and lower pulsating torque during starting. According to the geometric parameters of the PMSG, we select the controllable factors and their levels, such as the permanent magnet thickness in the rotor, the air-gap width, the opening slot width and the slot tooth width at the stator. The proposed method first establishes the orthogonal array (OA) that is recommended by the Taguchi method. Then the multiple targets are coordinated by the fuzzy inference mecha- nism to obtain a better combination of geometric parameters to achieve multiple quality targets. The finite element method (FEM) is used as the tool for analyzing the pulsating torque and performance of the PMSG. Results have shown that the proposed method can obtain suitable geometric parameters for reducing the pulsating torque while keeping the electric power output as large as possible in a PMSG. |
