| 英文摘要 | Taipei City Government has been working on GIS (Geographic Information System) for several years. Starting in the early period where each agency developed their individual systems, we have moved into the stage of coordination and integration. To allow the exchange of information across different platforms, we are also working on the implementation of a common format for data across the board. In recent years, the city government has proactively promoted the establishment of a “GIS Database Exchange and Management System.”The objective of this project is to achieve the goals of “integration, value-adding, and service.” We have adopted a step-by-step approach in building the service oriented architecture (SOA) and a modularized GIS Integration Service Platform. To strengthen the services we provide to the public, Taipei City Government has selected Google Map and Google Earth as the basis for developing our GIS services. An assessment conducted by the city government shows that among the GIS services available on the market, Google Map/Google Earth is the most developer-friendly, offers the most functions, shows the highest efficiency, and seen as the most easilg accepted by the public. This article will introduce the different applications developed by Taipei City Government based on Google Map/Earth. It will also provide suggestions on the planning of 2D and 3D system platform. |
