中文摘要 | 「心性」之特別被拿出來討論,並成為一種主張,始自孟子。孟子之前,固然有論及心性者,未有如孟子突出心性為其思想之基礎,並大力倡言者。孔子罕言性,子夏、曾子等孔門早期弟子,甚至墨子、楊朱等年代略早於孟子的思想家,皆無對心性之特別論述,顯見至少在戰國初期,心性問題尚未受到注意。《上海博物館藏戰國楚竹書.孔子詩論》中三次出現的「民性固然」,更間接證明孔子早期弟子仍未重視對於「人性」的探討。然孟子之言心性非憑空而發,自有其遠承,是其繼孔子之說,進一步論證人之為道德的主體。近年,隨著戰國楚簡的出現,更說明早在孟子之前,儒家已經注意到心、性、情與德之間的關係。本文就試圖透過戰國楚簡與傳世典籍的交互比對,討論孔子「性相近」的本旨,以及戰國儒家心性之說對於孔子思想的繼承與改造。 |
英文摘要 | Confucian pay less attention in talking about human nature. To him being a human means a way of study about etiquette. It’s a lifetime learning progress. In the old days, scholars took Men-Zi as the first person who build up the concept of human nature. Alone with the discovery of bamboo slips showed us that the concept of human nature had been discussed about during the mid-age of the Warring states. This article is trying to find out the develo pment of the concept of human nature during the Warring states. Hoping by analyzing the difference of “heart”, “human nature” and “emotion”, we can get clear about why the Confucianism believed in that a human can be a person of a noble character and integrity. And what is the most value that they honored as being a human. |
