英文摘要 | Purpose : Proteomic is a technique of studying total expressed proteins of a biological specimen. It applies two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry to separate and identify proteins. Tuberculous pleurisy is a hypersensitivity reaction involving many protein cytokines. However, the proteins we have known may just be a small portion of the greater unknown within this immunologically active fluid. In this study, we applied proteomics to study tuberculous pleurisy. Methods : One tuberculous pleurisy and one adenocarcionmatous pleural effusion samples went through two dimensional gel electrophoresis to separate the complex proteins within. The differentially expressed spots then were cut away for mass spectrometry and bioinfomatic studies to identify the name of these proteins. Results : In comparison with adenocarcinomatous effusion, tuberculous effusion contained nine more spots on electrophoresis. These spots were later identified to contain fibrin, fibrinogen, haptoglobin and chain A of transthyretin R104H. Conclusion : Tuberculous pleurisy expressed some more proteins than adenocarcinomatous effusion. These proteins may serve as useful biomarkers for evaluating tuberculous pleurisy in the future. |
