中文摘要 | 浩瀚孙宙間人類賴以生養的「湛藍色球體」,仍然不停轉動著,然其上隨著燦爛陽光千變萬化的「綠色大地」已漸漸被灰色的「都市叢林」篡位並取代,因此要拯救我們唯一的地球,地景需重新以根莖系統的開放性予以活化,並融入存在本體及實用效能之視野,從已湮沒之景,探勘生機,盼能從歷經浩劫、動盪不已之地表,再創新地景,並永續發展。有鑒於此,本文藉助德勒茲(Gilles Deleuze)與伽塔利(Felix Guattari)共創之「根莖學」(rhizomatics)概念,繪製聘瓊(Thomas Pynchon)作品《幽》(V.) 中〈幽國〉(Vheissu) 之景,使其從外患內訌之「憂景」變成有多重入口、盤根錯節且生意盎然之「幽景」 (V’scape)。 〈幽國〉乃故事中神祕女性〈幽〉(V.)多重化身之一,原本為一個地處偏遠的「香格里拉」/「失落之伊甸園」,土地豐饒,色彩繽紛,適合文化孕育之美地。後遭大英帝國以(男性)優越殖民者姿態入侵,並將其轉換成一位「從頭至腳趾佈滿紋身,沒有靈魂,卻充滿致命吸引力的黑色野蠻女性」,最終淪落為一個反烏托邦(dystopia)/反地景(anti-landscape),既沒有地圖,有無任何確切資料,可佐證她的存在。據此,本文企圖建構三個「高臺」(plateaus):〈幽國〉─ 表皮、〈摩根的故事〉─ 血肉、〈瑪菈的故事〉─ 心靈,並以根莖脈絡形式相互連結,再繪「幽景」,致能尋獲〈幽國〉「眩耀表皮」(“glittering integument”/ “gorgeous surface”)下之「心靈」 (“soul”/“heart”)。 終極,所有由〈幽〉衍生之分枝(offshoot)都將成為「逃逸路線」(lines of flight),編織無限延伸根莖式之「幽景」,廣開「變向女性」(becoming-woman)之契機且供「逃逸路線」自由出入。粉紅加粉紅,〈幽國〉萬花筒光采絢爛之色彩將再現且更為燦爛 — 此乃不同心境永恆之回歸,締造更美「變向世界」(becoming-world)之願景。 |
英文摘要 | This paper aims to map Thomas Pynchon’s Vheissu in V. as a V’scape, a Deleuzean rhizomatic map with multiple entryways, opening up to possible lines of flight from the impasses. The premise is that as our beautiful homeland, the green landscape on the “blue revolving planet,” has been usurped and replaced piece by piece by the ever-encroaching “city jungle of cement,” landscapes need be re-mapped rhizomatically for their ontological and pragmatic efficacy in setting up viable territories so as to create an entire new landscape from the uneven surface of the earth. Vheissu, one of the mysterious identities of V., is a far-away Shangri-la/lost Eden with rich soil for rhizomatic growth and culture. Likened to a dark tattooed savage from head to toes without a soul beneath, Vheissu is alluring you. However, she soon turns into a dystopia/an anti-landscape. There is no map, or any other solid data left. To find her “heart” under the glittering integument/gorgeous surface, three plateaus are built to map the V’scape: Vheissu (skin), Mondaugen’s story (flesh), and Mara’s story (heart). Eventually, all of the points (offshoots) of V. will be transformed into lines (of flight) to make an ever-growing rhizomatic V’scape, on which the possibility of becoming-woman will be open to all, and lines of flight move smoothly in and out. Pink on pink, the kaleidoscope colors on Vheissu will resurge and proliferate—eternal return with a difference for a better becoming-world. |
